The composition of motherwort is rich in the following trace elements: flavonoids, bitters, tannins, phytoncides, essential oil, which contains phenols - Carvacrol and Thymol, which have strong antimicrobial properties, as well as vitamins "C", especially in the leaves, "B1", "B2" etc. Motherwort normalizes metabolism, is a mild laxative, improves digestion and stimulates appetite. Preparations from motherwort are used for nervous stress and disorders, as a sedative, and they are also useful for atherosclerosis and sciatica.
